Asia's leading trade fair for environmental technologies has started its preparations. Growing environmental awareness in China means good business opportunities for exhibitors. Effective immediately, companies can go online and register for IE expo: It takes place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from May 5–7, 2016.

China looking for sustainable ecological solutions

The last IE expo proved that awareness for ecological problems in China continues to increase. A number of environmental-protection initiatives on the part of the Chinese government underscore this change in society. According to Stefan Rummel, Managing Director at Messe München, "That makes finding sustainable solutions in the environmental sector even more important. IE expo 2016 is the perfect platform for that. This is where technologies are presented that suit the challenges facing Asian markets and that can help to protect the environment." Growing environmental awareness in China is also improving the exhibitors' business prospects.

Organizers expect continued growth in 2016

Given the success of previous exhibitions, organizers are expecting continued growth again in 2016. In 2015, IE expo had 40,046 visitors and 60,000 square meters of exhibition space. 1,085 exhibitors from 27 countries participated in the fair. It was the first time that the number of exhibitors surpassed the one-thousand mark.
