Brand History of IE expo China

IE expo China originated from the Shanghai International Environmental Protection and Water Exhibition (EPTEE), founded in 2000, and IFAT CHINA, which entered China in 2004. (The parent exhibition, IFAT, was founded in Munich in 1966 and is one of the world's largest and most influential environmental exhibitions.) In 2010, the two major exhibitions merged and became "IE expo China."

As the environmental industry event held in China under the umbrella of  IFAT, IE expo China, held annually in Shanghai, has been deeply rooted in China's environmental protection industry for 26 years and has grown into the world's second-largest environmental exhibition after IFAT. It is a large-scale environmental exhibition in Asia that integrates business negotiations, technical exchanges, market development, brand marketing, trend releases, and international cooperation. Meanwhile, IE expo expanded to South China in 2015 and West China in 2019, forming a spatial layout of three exhibitions in three locations (Shanghai, Chengdu, and Guangzhou/Shenzhen) every year. Leveraging the locational advantages of each region, the exhibition's influence will span Asia, injecting a continuous stream of endogenous momentum into the development of environmental protection companies.
