Online COD monitoring instrument for pollution sources
Water sample, potassium dichromate digestion solution, silver sulfate solution (silver sulfate as a catalyst can more effectively oxidize straight chain fat compounds), and concentrated sulfuric acid mixture heated to 165℃, dichromate ion oxidation of organic matter in the solution after the color will change, the analyzer detects the color change, and this change into COD value. The amount of dichromate ions consumed is equivalent to the amount of organic matter that can be oxidized.
