Ultraviolet sterilizer
The principle of ultraviolet disinfection and sterilization is to use the high-energy band energy of ultraviolet photons to destroy the DNA or RNA structures of various viruses, bacteria, and pathogens in water, causing them to lose their ability to produce proteins and reproduce after damage, thus achieving the purpose of sterilization. The sterilization process of ultraviolet radiation is a physical process, and ultraviolet radiation does not add any substances to the water body and does not produce any by-products. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, environmental protection, and safety. UV rays are divided into three bands: UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVC has bactericidal function, among which ultraviolet rays with a wavelength of 253.7nm have the strongest bactericidal ability. Spectral lines with a wavelength of 185nm can also decompose organic molecules in water, produce hydroxyl radicals, and oxidize organic molecules in water to carbon dioxide, achieving the goal of removing TOC. The evaluation of the quality of ultraviolet tubes mainly depends on the output efficiency of this wavelength band. The general term for radiation with a wavelength of 100-400 nanometers in the ultraviolet electromagnetic spectrum, which is outside the ultraviolet spectrum, is called ultraviolet and is an invisible light. According to the classification of ultraviolet bands by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE), they are divided into UVA (320-400NM), UVB (280-320NM), and UVC (100-280NM). The principle of ultraviolet sterilization: When bacteria, viruses, etc. in water are exposed to sufficient doses of UV-C ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength in the range of 240~280NM, it can destroy the molecular structure of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) or RNA (ribonucleic acid) in bacteria and viruses, causing growth cell death and/or regenerative cell death, achieving the effect of sterilization and disinfection. Especially at the wavelength tail of 253.7NM, the bactericidal effect on the outer line is strongest. Radiation with ultraviolet wavelengths below 240NM can cause oxygen in air or water to form ozone. Ozone has strong oxidizing properties and can also have a bactericidal effect. In addition, it can also degrade organic matter in water. The ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength of 185NM has the strongest ability to produce ozone. It can also decompose organic molecules in water, generate hydrogen radicals, and oxidize organic molecules in water to C0: and H ₂ 0, achieving the effect of removing TOC.
